Do your research
CBD is everywhere now and is sold online and across stores in the UK. What you should look out for is the CBD is tested in labs and is certified organic. You should also be looking for a full spectrum CBD product like we have at CBDLife. This simply means the product contains other cannabinoids which make the CBD oil more effective.
Add CBD to your meals
CBD is lipid soluble which makes it easier for it to be added into a range of recipes when infused with a fatty base ingredient such as butter or coconut oil. The oil can be easily added to savoury dishes in the form of CBD edibles, marinades, sauces, and dressings. It can also be infused into drinks such as cocktails or coffees and even sweet dessert options like cakes, brownies. You do not want to cook the oil directly as it is sensitive to heat.
Temperature matters
Warming the oil can increase the effectiveness, however, if the temperature is too high, it can kill some of the components that are active in the oil. CBD will begin to evaporate at temperatures higher than 320 to 356 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) . If you heat the oil too high, it can also bring out a bitter taste.
CBD should be stored properly
When you are not using the product, the oil should be stored in a dark and cool place. Cannabinoids are naturally sensitive to heat and light, leading to an overall degradation in potency and quality. CBD oil that is degraded will not be as effective and may impart more bitter, unpleasant flavours into your recipes.
