Does CBD Oil Get You High?
THC is the element in cannabis that causes a high, not CBD. CBD has been known even to mitigate or limit the effects of THC when taken in different varieties and strains. While researchers are still studying the full benefits of CBD, it has been considered to ease anxiety, depression, neurodegenerative diseases, inflammatory diseases, infections, certain cancers, chronic pain, and more. The World Health Organization (WHO) continues to study the extensive influence of CBD on the brain and body but has stated that it does not cause any high that consuming THC has been known to cause.
Are THC and CBD Legal?
CBD is legal nationwide and can be easily ordered online. THC, however, is legal only in amounts less than 0.3%, which is the limit for full-spectrum CBD products.
What is CBD?
CBD is one of the two major components that has been isolated from marijuana, while THC is the other. While THC has been found to cause the “high’ effect that is often associated with marijuana use, CBD has been found to activate the endocannabinoid system because it is similar to the endocannabinoids naturally produced within the body.
Is CBD Legal Everywhere?
Unfortunately, due to the longstanding bias against marijuana, some states have anti-CBD and anti-marijuana laws on the books. Likewise, CBD is also technically illegal on a federal level because there is no CBD product that is currently FDA approved for use. Before you explore CBD and marijuana use, you should ensure that it is a legal option in your state.
